About

Donald Trump Dance Trend, also known as The Trump Dance or Donald Trump Dancing Trend, refers to a dance trend popularized in the 2020s that mimics former President Donald Trump and his October 2020 "Y.M.C.A." dance. The dance move involves people pursing their lips and fist pumping to the beat of a song, oftentimes with their knees and back slightly bent. Since 2020, the dance has become synonymous with Trump, with several Republicans posting videos of themselves doing the moves following his win in the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election. While some perform Trump's dance as an homage to him, others do it in a more mocking or joking way. In November 2024, a video of MMA fighter Jon Jones doing the Trump Dance notably went viral online.
