Domino's Pizza AI Images refers to a series of AI-generated images related to the pizza delivery chain Domino's. The AI art was made with DALL-E and also likely Bing Image Creator in late 2023, surfacing on TikTok and iFunny, among other sites. Many of the images were from the perspective of a CCTV security camera and showed chaotic scenes. The trend was started by a TikToker named @gnomecurtis who posted multiple photo slideshows that included other fast food-inspired AI-generated images like ones about KFC and Subway.

Origin

On October 17th, 2023, TikToker^[1] @gnomecurtis posted a photo slideshow that included 13 AI-generated images based on prompts related to Domino's (shown below). Over the course of nine days, the slideshow received roughly 4.6 million plays and 636,600 likes. According to the hashtags used in the slideshow's description, the images were made with DALL-E.

Also, earlier on October 17th, 2023, TikToker^[2] @gnomecurtis posted a similar slideshow featuring AI-generated images related to Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), which received roughly 45,900 plays and 6,000 likes in the same timeframe (examples shown below).

Later on October 17th, 2023, TikToker^[3] @gnomecurtis posted another slideshow featuring AI-generated Domino's images (examples shown below), gaining roughly 14,600 plays and 1,000 likes in nine days. Some of the photos also featured Ronald McDonald from McDonald's having conflicts with raccoons inside the Domino's (example shown below, right).

The series was continued by TikToker^[4]^[5]^[6] @gnomecurtis going into October 2023, including other chains like Pizza Hut and Subway, among others.

As the AI images of Domino's became increasingly viral, reposts and copycats began to surface on other websites. Notably, users on iFunny reposted many of @gnomecurtis' images in late October 2023, such as iFunnier^[7] @CrustyCoochCalvin on October 18th, 2023, who received roughly 5,400 smiles in eight days.

In turn, original images surfaced on iFunny, such as a post shared by iFunnier^[8] @LUIGl on October 21st, 2023, that showed Michael the archangel fighting Satan inside a Domino's, gaining roughly 12,500 smiles in five days (shown below, left). On October 24th, iFunnier^[9] @TacoBellSwag420 posted an image of Roman soldiers at Domino's, gaining roughly 6,700 smiles in two days (shown below, right).

During the same timeframe, reposts and original iterations surfaced on Instagram^[10] as well.
