Doja Cat's "Mooo!" is a rap song by American recording artist and rapper Doja Cat. The music video, which features lo-fi effects of Doja Cat performing the song in a variety of costumes in front of a green screen playing various images, including pixelated images of farms and videos of anime breasts, inspired a series of memes, as did the lyrics "bitch, I'm a cow."

Origin

On August 10th, 2018, Doja Cat released the video for her single "Mooo!" on YouTube. [1] The video features the rapper performing the song in front of various images while wearing a cow-print outfit. The video (shown below) received more than 400,000 views in four days.

Online, people and fans of Doja Cat responded positively to the song and the video. Many, for example, posted the lyrics "bitch, I'm a cow" using ASCII, image macros and emojis (examples below).



On August 11th, Twitter [2] user @Followmeclarke tweeted about one minute of the video with the caption "This really the song of the century aint shit topping this…. got me randomly singing 'Moooo' smfh." The post (shown below) received more than 61,000 retweets, 148,000 likes and 5.5 million views.




Two days later, recording artist Chance the Rapper tweeted,[3] "So now im a big doja cat fan 🐄." The post (shown below) received more than 1,500 retweets and 12,000 likes in 24 hours.
