About
Do You Think I Look Good Mr. Armstrong? is a TikTok sound and trend that uses a soundbite from the Family Guy spin-off show The Cleveland Show in which Cleveland Brown's daughter Roberta Tubbs asks her high school teacher Mr. Armstrong if she looks good after preening in her locker's mirror. The soundbite was added to the song "Dream Doll" by Splish Splash feat. CupcakKe in October 2022 via a fancam style edit. This inspired mostly female TikTokers to preen using the sound, showing off their bodies and being flirtatious to the imagined "Mr. Armstrong" who represents their crush.
Origin
On January 10th, 2010, season one, episode 11 of The Cleveland Show, titled "Love Rollercoaster,"[1] aired on American television. A character named Mr. Armstrong made his first appearance in the episode and he becomes smitten with Roberta Tubbs after she flirted with him in one scene taking place in the school hallway (YouTube upload shown below).
Roberta: I'm sorry. I just need one minute to make sure I look good. Do you think I look good Mr. Armstrong?
On October 5th, 2022, TikToker[2] 6pidy posted an edit that mixed Roberta's soundbite with the song "Dream Doll" by Splish Splash feat. CupcakKe.[3] over the course of one month, the TikTok received roughly 10.4 million plays and 1.4 million likes (shown below, left). On October 13th, TikToker[4] myspacemama became the first known TikToker to use the sound for a video of herself, gaining roughly 696,100 plays and 163,600 likes in four weeks (shown below, right).

For instance, on October 20th, 2022, TikToker[5] jimmydeanwithac00ch posted a video that used the sound, gaining roughly 3.5 million plays and 896,500 likes in 19 days (shown below, left).
