Do You Like Your New Toy ? is a video remix series featuring a short clip of a Shiba Inu dog howling after being asked "do you like your new toy?"

Origin

On April 23rd, 2018, Twitter user @Amanda_d1234 tweeted a video of her dog howling along with the message “So what is it like to own a Shiba?” (shown below). Within two weeks, the tweet gained over 352,000 likes and 129,000 retweets.

Spread

On April 27th, 2018, the ShibeNation YouTube channel uploaded the clip edited with a zoom effect on the dog's face (shown below, left). Within one week, the video garnered more than 842,000 views and 800 comments. On April 29th, YouTuber Dolan Darker posted an edited version of the video in which the dog starts singing in a human voice (shown below, right).
