Do It Lady is a catchphrase referencing an episode of the online comedy series Chit by Jay Renshaw, uploaded to YouTube, Instagram and TikTok in mid-June 2025. In the skit, the titular character, Chit, writes, "Do it lady!" on his coworker Janice's birthday card and convinces other coworkers that it's a popular saying without really explaining what it means. The clip went viral on TikTok in July 2025, becoming the subject of memes, including lip dubs and remixes, as well as a prominent remix with the song "This Is How We Do It" by Montell Jordan.

On June 18th, 2025, Jay Renshaw, known best for the web comedy series Chit, a short comedy series similar to The Office about a strange office worker named Chit, uploaded "Ep. 11 – Do It Lady!" to YouTube,[1] Instagram[2] and TikTok,[3] garnering over 290,000 views, 193,000 likes and 12 million views, respectively, in a month.

In the episode, Chit is asked to sign his coworker Janice's birthday card. He signs it, "Do it lady!" and his coworkers wonder what it means. Chit then manages to convince a couple of coworkers that it's a popular saying.

The scene and phrase went viral on TikTok throughout late June and early July 2025, with the videos' original sound being used over 5,400 times in a month.

On June 24th, 2025, TikToker[4] @b_randymandycandy posted a video set to the sound where they pan up to a photo of Chit saying, "Do it lady," on their desk, meant to give them an "extra push at work," garnering over 1.3 million views in three weeks.


On June 26th, TikToker[5] @thecuddlecult posted a video to the audio of a birthday card referencing the video and phrase, garnering over 1.5 million views in the same rough span of time.


On July 3rd, 2025, TikToker[6] @swinginmedallions posted a video that remixes Chit saying, "Do it lady," with the song "This Is How We Do It" by Montell Jordan, garnering over 415,000 views in roughly two weeks. The video's description reads, "You just got Chit Rolled," a reference to Rickrolling.


On July 11th, TikToker[7] @mr_lindsay_sped, a teacher, posted a video about "Do it lady," suggesting it could be a popular inside joke for millennials that Gen-Z might be out-of-the-loop on, similar to slang and memes used by Gen Z to confuse millenials, such as the 6-7 meme, garnering over 230,000 views in four days.
