At a particular moment of the event, which was livestreamed by many news outlets,^[1] House Speaker Mike Johnson, who was sitting behind the President, seemed to nod and look disappointed while Biden was mentioned the January 6th Storming of the Capitol event.

That same day, X^[2] user @Acyn posted the earliest known clip showing Mike Johnson's reaction (shown below), which garnered roughly 178,000 views and 7,100 likes in a day.

Shortly after Biden's speech ended, Johnson's reaction became a viral topic on social media, especially among Republicans who sympathized with the politician's display of emotions.
