About

Dipshit289 "Dude You Don't Wanna Know… Oh the Horror" is a reaction image depicting a fake conversation between two Reddit commenters, Oblivious Person and Dipshit289, the former commenting, "Hey, could I get some context for who this is? Everyone's saying it's bad," and the latter responding, "dude you don't wanna know… oh the horror…." The meme first started appearing on Reddit in June 2023 and continued to go viral over the following years. It is often used as a reaction to posts that are missing some context to call the poster out for not providing the context. The original is also used as an exploitable format in which people swap the characters or alter it alongside other imagery.
