DILLIGAF is an acronym and slang term for "Does it look like I give a f*ck," which has been used in internet forums, songs, and texts since the early 2000s.

Origin

In 2003, Australian musical comedian Kevin Bloody Wilson released his live album Let Loose Live in the Outback featuring the song "DILLIGAF" which introduces and explains the acronym in its lyrics (shown below).[2]

Spread

On March 3rd, 2004, Urban Dictionary[1] user Vince defined "DILLIGAF" as "Does It Look Like I Give A F*ck" and provided the example, "you hurt your leg, well DILLIGAF." The definition gained over 5,100 upvotes and 1,400 downvotes in 15 years.

TikTok

In early July 2019, TikTok users began using the Kevin Bloody Wilson song in their videos to illustrate things that could care less about. On July 3rd, TikTok user @calebdiehl21 uploaded a video that describes lazy summer activities that parents might not condone (shown below, left). The video garnered over 161,900 likes and 8,700 shares in 20 days. The next day, TikTok user @mrs.unicorn_girl uploaded a video using illustrations to mimic the song (shown below, center). The video accumulated over 116,500 likes and 10,200 shares in 19 days. On July 7th, @ramseytheprofit uploaded a video about using a Juul which received over 93,200 likes in 15 days (shown below, right).
