Didla Panda or Dydla Panda is an anthropomorphic panda bear character with a red nose and collar created by Russian TikToker @didla_panda_2024. The character, inspired by creepypasta characters and based on the 3D animated character Bamboo Panda, went viral that month after the TikToker posted a video of it participating in the That's Not My Neighbor "See My Name On the List" meme, inspiring further memes and video edits referencing the character in an attempt to start a fandom surrounding Didla Panda.

Origin

The TikTok^[1] page @bamboopandaofficial features a 3D animated panda character with a red nose named Bamboo Panda. TikToker @didla_panda_20, prior to April 2024, posted numerous clips and edits of Bamboo Panda. On April 21st, 2024, they posted a video to TikTok^[2] drawing a character inspired by Bamboo Panda which they refer to as "Dydla Panda," garnering over 30,000 views in a month (shown below, left).

They continued to post videos of the panda over the following weeks, with a video posted to TikTok^[3] on April 27th, in which the panda takes part in the "See My Name on the List" meme and is briefly shown with a scary face, gaining over 1.2 million views in two weeks (shown below, right).

Didla Panda became the subject of memes and video edits over the following days, many portraying him similarly to creepypasta characters.

On May 5th, 2024, TikToker^[4] @reddusguy posted a recreation of the "See My Name on the List" video, garnering over 140,000 views in five days (shown below, left). On May 7th, TikToker^[5] @yoylebunny posted an animation meme using Didla Panda, garnering over 240,000 views in three days (shown below, right). On May 9th, Deviant Art^[6] user SandwichManIsHere posted fan art of the character.
