Diamond Gym Unc is a nickname for Dwayne McDaniel, the owner of Diamond Gym, who went viral in January 2026 for a clip in which he notices a microphone wire in the gym that he doesn't like and calls attention to it with the phrase "El Wiro." Diamond Gym Unc garnered significant virality on sites including TikTok and Instagram Reels in late 2025 and early 2026 through the @diamondgymm account and fitness influencer Haddy Abdel's content, inspiring memes.
The El Wiro clip from December 2025 also inspired various memes, including Accuracy Reenactments and brainrot edits. Diamon Gym Unc is known for his catchphrase "to the hill," which he says when ordering someone to do an intense workout for showing a lack of dedication.

Diamond Gym is a well-known, well-respected bodybuilding gym in New Jersey known for putting members through intense workouts.[1] The gym has been around since the 1970s and has been owned by Dwayne McDaniel, a bodybuilder, since about 2006. McDaniel has earned the nickname "Diamond Gym Unc" over the years for his skill and experience.
On October 7th, 2025, TikToker[2] @samsulek_speak posted a video explaining his nickname, garnering over 2.5 million views in three months.
Diamond Gym Unc is known for handing out intense workouts to the members of his gym. He often gives these workouts to those who show signs of laziness or a lack of dedication, such as by sitting down or drinking Gatorade at the gym.
For example, on December 4th, 2025, the @diamondgymm TikTok[3] page uploaded a video where Unc sees someone sitting at the gym and sends them "to the hill," making him do an intense workout as punishment, garnering over 4.9 million views in a month.
El Wiro
On December 26th, 2025, the @diamondgymm TikTok[4] page posted a video of Unc getting mad that someone in the gym is working out with a wired microphone on them, worried that the wire will get caught in a machine. He calls it out to another member of the gym that he refers to as "Pop," saying, "El wiro." The video gained over 7.4 million views in about two weeks.
