deep frozen memes are a separate genre of deep fried memes but not exactly the same. it originates from reddit back in 2018 on july 2nd when the user (now deleted) jerbilegit saw a comment linking to a sub that didnt exist called r/deepfrozenmemes. they then decided to monopolize on that and created the subreddit. deep frozen memes are just deep fried memes with inverted colors. a sub copied the original format and gained more popularity called r/deepfreezedmemes however if you look at the dates r/deepfrozenmemes came first. thats pretty much it for this meme. r/deepfrozenmemes currently sits at 665 members while deepfreezedmemes is near 6000.
