About

Dancing Alone To Pony is a YouTube video fad where people record themselves dancing seductively to American R&B singer Ginuwine's song "Pony."

Origin

β€œPony”[1] was the first single released by Ginuwine on August 20, 1996. The song features a start-stop rhythm, popular in drum and bass music, with blatantly sexual lyrics. In November 2006, the song spent two weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop Singles chart and reached #6 on the Billboard Hot 100.
