On May 21st, 2025, Romanian TikTokers[1] Fantomel and Kate Linn posted a video previewing their song "Dame Un Grrr," with Kate Linn providing a cappella vocals for a line that translates to "Give me a grr" before Fantomel provides a baile-inspired beat. The video gathered over 57 million views and 3 million likes in a month.

The duo also released an audio mixed version of the song on TikTok[2] on May 26th, 2025, gathering over 14 million plays and 280,000 likes in a month.

The earliest known viral video to use the sound effect was a June 5th, 2025, edit posted by TikToker[3] @koyinaur, featuring clips from the K-drama True Beauty. The video gathered over 30 million plays and 4 million likes in three weeks.

The song continued to see usage in June 2025, with TikToker[4] @timurtopaboy posting a video on June 11th, 2025, gathering over 50 million plays and 3 million likes in three weeks.

On June 23rd, 2025, TikToker[5] @3kittycatss posted a video showing a white cat swatting its paw to the beat of "Dame Un Grr," gathering over 275 million plays and 30 million likes in a week.

On June 28th, the official Paris Saint-Germain F.C. TikTok[6] page (@PSG) posted a video showing Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma singing the lyrics to the song, gathering over 6 million views and 700,000 likes in two days.

On June 29th, 2025, TikToker[7] @ladycinn posted a video dancing to a remix of "Dame Un Grr," gathering over 6 million plays and 700,000 likes in two days.
