Cookiee Kawaii's "Vibe" is a 2019 song by American singer-songwriter Cookiee Kawaii produced by TrillzMix. In early 2020, the song went viral on TikTok with TikTokers using the song in over 720,000 dance and parody videos in two months. The song launched Cookiee Kawaii's mainstream stardom.

Origin

On March 3rd, 2019, Cookiee Kawaii uploaded "Vibe" to SoundCloud which gained over 1.1 million plays and 30,900 likes in a year (shown below).

Spread

On January 31st, 2020, TikToker @schoollunchtray uploaded the earliest known TikTok video using the song and recieved over 679,300 likes in a month (shown below, left). On February 9th, TikToker @treclements uploaded an exagerated dance video using the song which garnered over 3.2 million likes in two weeks (shown below, center). On February 13, TikToker @hartyt_ uploaded a popular video of a duck shaking it's behind using the song (shown below, right). The video accumulated over 2.2 million likes in 12 days. On February 19th, Fader^[1] interviewed Cookiee Kawaii regarding her nearly overnight success. StayHipp^[2] also published an article on the popular song.
