"Come Over, It's a Surprise" Kid is an exploitable clip used in a series of memes, including green-screen edits, based on a viral video of a child, uploaded by TikToker @rogueridgelife, telling his mother to "come over" and then saying "it's a surprise" when asked where he's going to bring her. The video was posted to TikTok in December 2025 and became the subject of memes over the following days, including Accuracy Reenactments and edits that apply captions about luring someone somewhere.
Origin
On December 4th, 2025, TikToker[1] @rogueridgelife posted a video of a young boy, filmed by his mother, telling her to "come over" and follow her. She asks him, "Where are we going?" and he answers, "Oh, around… it's a surprise. Do you like surprises?" She answers, "I do," while following him. He leads her to the trampoline so she can watch him bounce. The video gained over 26 million views in nine days.
Spread
On December 21st, 2025, TikToker[2] @ibizahq posted a meme where the child from the video has been placed over a photo of people vacationing in Ibiza under the caption, "Me asking bro to hang out (we're booking Ibiza)," garnering over 220,000 views in nine days. This is the earliest known meme to use the video.
The video continued to inspire memes over the following days. On December 22nd, TikToker[3] @theempress_84 posted a meme placing the child over a forest setting, captioned, "When he thinks I forgave him for how he treated me," implying they are luring someone into the forest to harm them, garnering over 3.6 million views in eight days.
On the same day, TikToker[4] @trexnotextinct posted a version of the meme captioned, "When I catch my sibling eating my stuff that they promised not to touch," garnering over 2.6 million views in eight days.
On December 25th, 2025, TikToker[5] @jggls posted an accuracy reenactment meme based on the video, garnering over 2.2 million views in five days.
