On March 28th, 2020 Twitter users began responding with captioned screenshots of Schaffner's face. Twitter user @Kuon_shin^[1] tweeted a screenshot with the caption, "The look of a man that has let his country down" which gained over 3,900 likes in two days (shown below, left). Twitter user @CashMuny_36^[2] shared a Steve Buscemi edit with the caption, "Bro said" which garnered over 25,300 likes and 1,700 retweets in two days (shown below, right).

That same day, Twitter user @quantum_kobe^[3] shared a screenshot with the caption, "The face when you hear your name get yelled after you get caught sleep in class" (shown below). The next day, The Daily Dot^[1] published an article on the viral video.
