The Clairo-Themed Lesbian Rooftop Party in Bushwick Where the Twink Fell Through the Skylight refers to a lesbian birthday party that took place on a rooftop in Bushwick, Brooklyn in mid-August 2024, during which a twink fell through a skylight on the rooftop. The party was purportedly themed around pop artist Clairo because a cake with "Clairo Shade" written on it (aka the Clairo Shade Cake) was brought for the partygoers. Viral tweets about the party surfaced on Twitter / X in August 2024, leading to memes that read like Stan Twitter slang overload by overly combining other LGBTQ+ slang terms. Photos of the broken skylight and the inside of the damaged apartment went viral in the aftermath, coinciding with a viral TikTok video that showed the skylight that the twink supposedly fell through.

At approximately 1:15 a.m. EST on August 18th, 2024, X^[1] user @poIarseltzer tweeted, "entire birthday party immediately ending because oomf fell through the skylight," gaining over 1,400 likes in four days (shown below).

Two hours later on August 18th, X^[2] user @_garrettcharles tweeted, "I don’t have many life regrets but not getting a video of the twink crashing through the skylight at this lesbian rooftop party tonight will definitely be something that haunts me til I die," receiving over 2,500 likes in four days (shown below).

Soon after, X^[3] user @poIarseltzer quoted @_garrettcharles, writing, "Thank you everyone for coming!!!!"

Later on August 18th, 2024, X^[4] user @poIarseltzer tweeted a photo of a cake with "Clairo Shade" written on it, captioned, "whole party lowkey felt like clairo shade." The tweet received over 13,000 likes in four days (shown below).

Later on August 19th, X^[6] user @LebronKamez shared photos of a broken skylight in an apartment and glass on the floor, writing, "when you’re playing jackbox in Brooklyn and someone from the rooftop party upstairs falls through your friend’s skylight 😭😭😭." The tweet amassed over 10,000 likes in three days (shown below).
