The exploitable meme format, which appeared in late April 2024, is typically edited or photoshopped to show different albums playing on Olsen's phone screen.

On April 19th, 2024, TikToker Chris Olsen posted a photo slideshow to his Instagram[1] page @chrisolsen showing his emotional reaction to Taylor Swift's then-newly released album Tortured Poets Department. One of the photos showed him holding up his phone next to his teary-eyed face. The post gathered over 200,000 likes in five days (seen below).

On April 21st, 2024, X[2] user @H0SHIBLUNT posted a version of the meme showing an album from the band SEVENTEEN, gathering over 6,000 likes in three days (seen below, left). On April 22nd, X[3] user @blurcats posted a version of the meme to show a Blur album, gathering over 2,000 likes in two days (seen below, right).

Also on April 22nd, 2024, X[4] user @rosaryreverie posted a version of the meme showing an album from The Cure, gathering over 8,000 likes in two days (seen below, left).
