Chillen At The Structure or Chillin' At The Structure is a phrase used in a series of memes and shitposts featuring eerie or haunting imagery, particularly an image of a shadowy figure standing in front of a shack from the cover of Kristian Olsson's album "Genfärd." The meme began as a spinoff of the Some Are Good At School Hustle Culture meme format and expanded in late 2021.

Origin

On September 9th, 2020, Instagram^[1] user penls_buttler posted an edit of the Some Are Good At School meme replacing the lower image with a cropping of the album cover from Kristian Olsson's^[2] album "Genfärd," released in December 2020, showing a shadowy figure with what appears to be rabbit ears or horns standing in front of a shack in the woods, gaining over 18,500 likes in a year (shown below, right, album cover left).

Spread

The meme was shared a number of times in late 2020, including on Facebook^[3] and iFunny.^[4] On November 11th, 2021, Instagram^[5] page sturdywings69 posted a version of the meme replacing the top image with the texting girl from the Boy and Girl Texting meme (shown below). The image was reposted by Instagram^[6] page new.incognito.tab later that month, gaining over 36,000 likes in three days.

On November 19th, Twitter^[7] page weirdrealitymp4 shared the original meme, gaining over 53,000 likes and 5,200 retweets in a week. On the same day, Instagram^[8] page thesurrealbank posted an image meant to show the POV of the creature in front of the structure, gaining over 25,900 likes in a week (shown below).
