The video was originally uploaded to TikTok in December 2022 and became the subject of edits and memes over the following months.

Origin

On December 29th, 2022, TikToker^[1] @the.fakin.mortadelaboy posted a video animating a hyper-realistic depiction of Sans using the Face Dance app to appear as if he's saying, "Chicos, estoy comiendo mortadella," which translates to, "Guys I'm eating mortadella," followed by chewing noises, garnering over 1.8 million views in just over a year (shown below).

The video and original audio clip became the subject of edits and memes over the following months. On January 7th and 16th, 2023, TikTokers^[2][3] @major_fan_of_amethyst and @biel_rredzin posted memes referencing the original, garnering over 645,000 views and 250,000 views, respectively, in a year (shown below, left and right).

On January 28th, Newgrounds^[4] user ValenAnonimo1901 posted a piece of fan art using the catchphrase next to Sans. On February 1st, YouTuber^[5] KASCA reuploaded the video, garnering over 500,000 views in a year. On February 4th, TikToker^[6] @bautoonson posted an animation based on the audio clip, garnering over 2 million views in a year (shown below).

On March 25th, X^[7] user @BFrog__ posted an I have two sides meme using the phrase, garnering over 2,700 likes and 260 reposts in a year (shown below).

The meme continued to spread in early 2024, largely on TikTok. For example, on February 29th, 2024, TikToker^[8] @ralsei_from_deltarune posted a remix of the video, garnering over 1.2 million views in a month (shown below, left).
