Charlie Kirk "Sonπππππ" refers to an image macro using a Kirkified version of an Anthony Mackie's Smirk meme, with a TikTok text overlay caption reading, "Sonπππππ," with several "Loudly Crying Face" Emojis. The image initially trended in TikTok comment sections as a reaction image amid the Kirkification of memes in October and November 2025, in which late political pundit and conservative commentator Charlie Kirk's face was swapped onto memes after his assassination a month prior. As it spread in late 2025, the Charlie Kirk "Son" Meme became more commonly used than the original Anthony Mackie "Sonπππππ" image across Twitter / X and Instagram, among other sites.
Origin
The earliest known upload of the Charlie Kirk "Sonπππππ" meme was shared by X[1] user @richpizzaroll on October 25th, 2025. A comment on the /r/fetishcai[2] subreddit using the image was also posted on October 25th. It's currently unknown who the meme's original creator is.
Before then, on September 26th, 2025, TikToker[4] @dub5nine reposted an AI Video of Charlie Kirk talking about his death. @dub5nine added a text overlay caption that read, "Son," followed by a string of π emojis. Over two months, the video gained over 11,900 likes.
Spread
On October 26th, 2025, X[3] user @ThomasWrrld used the image in a tweet about NFL player Chuba Hubbard of the Carolina Panthers, reading, "Chuba Hubbard might be washed." The tweet received over 310 likes in 18 days.
On November 1st, X[5] user @slsa4president quote-tweeted X user Hoodgenius, who had quote-tweeted Vice President J.D. Vance to joke about the Erika Kirk and J.D. Vance Romance Rumors. @slsa4president attached the Charlie Kirk "Sonπππππ" meme with no caption, gaining over 4,000 likes in 11 days.
On November 10th, 2025, X[6] user @JusJazzinOut tweeted the Charlie Kirk "Sonπππππ" meme, captioning it, "When you can't find the original image so you're lowkey forced to use the Charlie Kirk version." Over three days, the tweet gained over 11,000 likes.
