Origins

YTMND

The first Ualuealuealeuale YTMND[1] was created by user MowtenDoo on September 9th, 2005. The site featured a short animated GIF of Batman actor Adam West doing the Batusi dance combined with the chorus from El Chombo’s “Chacarron Macarron.”

The Batusi

The Batusi is a go-go dance invented for the 1960s television series Batman. According to Wikipedia[3], it was inspired by the Watusi, a popular 1960s solo dance. It was featured in the first episode of the show aired on January 12th, 1966, in a scene where Batman is drugged by a woman at a dance club. The clip from 1:38 to 1:40 in the following video was used for the Ualuealuealeuale YTMND.

Chacarron Macarron

The Reggageton single "Chacarron Macarron" was written by Rodney Clark and released in 2005 under the Universal label. According to Wikipedia[4], the famous chorus consists of gibberish lyrics:

The song has gained popularity on the Internet because of its nonsense lyrics (which are nothing but gibberish consisting of various onomatopoeic sounds, such as the "nuh" noise

Spread

On YTMND, many spin-off pages were created that used the audio from "Chacarron Macarron" and the footage of the Batusi dance. According to the YTMND Wiki[2], the original YTMND's popularity caused a fair amount of controversy on the site.

Batman: Ualuealuealeuale (often known simply as "Batman") quickly became an intensely popular and controversial site. It was a constant fixture on the Top 15 as people circulated links to it around internet forums. As it approached 1 million views, YTMND users who hated the site refused to believe that the site's success was legitimate, and accused MowtenDoo of viewhacking.

On July 12th, 2006, a video version of the Batman ualuealuealeuale was uploaded to YouTube and has 587,746 views as of November 8th, 2011. Several video derivatives were subsequently posted to YouTube, the most popular of which was a video of an animated dog with the "Chacarron Macarron" audio.
