Cement Das Conk Creet Baybee refers to an image macro of a Dachshund dog in a tuxedo bearing its teeth featuring top and bottom text reading, "cement das conk creet baybee." The image was uploaded to iFunny in 2019, resulting in a number of variations, including fan art and image macros referencing it over the following years.
Origin
On June 13th, 2019, iFunny[1] user Sock posted an image macro reading, "cement das conk creet baybee," deliberately misspelling "concrete," along with a grainy image of a wiener dog showing its teeth and wearing a tuxedo (shown below). The post gained over 12,500 smiles in just under two years.
It is unknown where the image of the dog was originally posted, however, a higher quality version without text is available, as well as an image macro from as early as 2013 using the image of the dog along with laughing text (shown below, left and right respectively).
Spread
On August 23rd, 2019, YouTuber[6] Glad Sau posted an loud video voicing over the meme with so much reverb the voice is indecipherable, garnering over 27,000 views in under two years (shown below).
On November 25th, YouTube[4] podcast Cold Ones referenced the meme in an episode with Twomad (clip shown below).
On January 14th, 2020, Facebook[5] page Chad Mojito's Shmegeggy Meme Sobornost & Senseless Drivel Cult Supercluster posted a Doomer Girl comic using the meme (shown below).
The original image macro was shared a number of times in 2020. On April 2nd, 2020, the same Facebook[2] page posted the meme, garnering over 1,300 reactions and 760 shares. On June 8th, Instagram[3] page @peachfvn posted the original meme, garnering over 45,000 likes in 10 months.
On June 16th, Redditor u/A_really_dumb_person posted a deep-fried version of the meme to /r/nukedmemes,[7] garnering over 9,600 upvotes in 10 months (shown below, left). On November 27th, Tumblr[10] user skyeishighlygay posted an image of a wiener dog at a recording booth with text reading, "Cement? I believe it's pronounced 'conk creet' baybee," (shown below, right).
On February 2nd, 2021, Twitter[8] user @rainbowfission posted a painting inspired by the meme, garnering over 510 likes and 130 retweets in two months (shown below).
On the same day, Twitter[9] user @SuperUltra64 posted original art depicting the dog as a villain about to pour cement on another dog, with a Tweet reading "[…] 'CEMENT, DAS CONK CREET BAYBEE' he cackled before pressing the button that would fill the tank with cement," (shown below).
On April 26th, YouTuber and Twitter[11] user MaxMoeFoe posted skyeishighlygay's Tumblr image macro referencing the meme, garnering over 31,000 likes and 2,100 retweets in a day.
