Caramel Berdly or Berdly Loves Caramel is a series of Deltarune memes claiming that the character Berdly loves caramel, with many of the memes focusing on imagery of Berdly covered in caramel. The meme was started in mid-July 2025 on X / Twitter after @ItsBizabizow made a post gaslighting people into believing that the "Berdly loves caramel" meme is massive among the fandom, despite no memes about Berdly's apparent love for caramel being uploaded online before this post. The post inspired a wave of Caramel Berdly memes over the following days.

Origin

On July 13th, 2025, X^[1] user @ItsBizabizow posted a response to a tweet reading, "How it feels to be in a fandom and not enjoy that one overused joke:," writing, "This is me with the whole 'Berdly loves caramel' thing can we please drop that already," garnering over 7,400 likes and 620 reposts in two days. The "Caramel Berdly" meme referenced did not actually exist prior to this.

The meme was embraced by many Deltarune fans over the following days, inspiring memes about Berdly's love for caramel, mostly on X, in mid-July 2025.

On July 14th, 2025, X^[2] user @simpleduality quoted the post by @ItsBizabizow, writing, "theyre gonna have berdly hold a caramel apple during the festival and this fanbase will lose its mind," sharing an edit of Berdly holding a caramel apple, garnering over 4,900 likes in a day.

Later that day, X^[3] user @ItsBizabizow posted an edit of Berdly covered in caramel, garnering over 2,700 likes in a day.

That same day, YouTuber and X^[4] user @saltydkdan posted, "To the people spamming my replies with Caramel Berdly: kindly, fucking stop," threatening to block anyone who sends him the memes, garnering over 13,000 likes in a day.

Also on July 14th, 2025, X^[5] user @REINVENTL0VERS posted a meme showing Berdly covered in caramel, reading, "Sometimes when I'm bored I dip my berdly in caramel and he scream loud as fuuuuuuuck," garnering over 5,300 likes in a day.

Shortly after, X^[6] user @saltydkdan made a follow-up post announcing his love of the Caramel Berdly meme, garnering over 4,400 likes in a day.

About half an hour later, X^[7] user @barofsoap418 posted a video edit that purportedly shows Noelle using "Caramelgrave" on Berdly during a fight, followed by Berdly expressing his love of caramel, writing, "hey guys, i was playing the weird route earlier and tried using snowgrave on berdly, but i only had this weird caramel attack instead," garnering over 6,800 likes in a day.
