CaptainSparklez’ “Revenge” is a Minecraft themed parody of the dance-pop song "DJ's got us Falling in Love Again" by Usher. It was written and produced by Minecraft YouTuber CaptainSparklez, and sung by YouTuber TryHardNinja. The song is the most popular Minecraft parody on the site, and the most-viewed Minecraft video of all time overall. The song has given way to numerous memes, videos, and partially serves as a copypasta itself.

Origin

On August 11th, 2011, CaptainSparkelz uploaded the music video to YouTube. The song was later remade from a parody to an original song due to copyright reasons; but was later changed back to its original version. As of May 3rd, 2019, the song has gained over 175 million views (shown below).

Spread

The song quickly became one of the most notable Minecraft parodies online. It has its own Wiki page^[1] and has inspired several tribute videos, including a Lego parody posted by Thesupermoviestudios (shown below, left) and a Nightcore version by Pixel Muffet (shown below, right).

Parodies became more common in the later 2010s. A compilation of parodies and memes was posted by Dank Compilations on March 28th, 2017 (shown below, left). An ear rape version posted by JFB Gaming on April 1st, 2017 gained over 48,000 views (shown below, right).
