Calm Your Tits, sometimes stylized as "Calm Yo Tits" is a piece of internet slang meaning "relax yourself," said when another internet user appears to be overreacting to something.
Origin
On March 20th, 2007, the phrase "Chill Your Tits" was submitted to Urban Dictionary by user Gage Magz.[1]
Spread
On March 23rd, 2008, the phrase "Calm Your Tits" by user Sam Bell was added to Urban Dictionary.[2]
In the ensuing years, many image macros were created with variations on the phrase (examples shown below).
On April 22nd, 2015, Buzzfeed[3] published a series of illustrations by Loryn Brantz regarding how to react when someone says "Calm Your Tits" (examples shown below).
On January 5th, 2016, a series of SomeECards with variations of the phrase was posted to 9GAG, gaining over 28,000 points (examples shown below).[4]
