On September 28th, 2024, Redditor claymixer posted an image macro of Superman captioned with a wholesome version of the Relax Liberals, It's Called Dark Humor meme, itself based on the Take It Easy, Globehead meme format. In the meme, the caption was altered to "Change the "r" in "rope" to an "h". RELAX edgelord. It's called wholesome humor". The post (shown below) garnered over 20,000 upvotes in the /r/shitposting^[1] subreddit in two months.

In the following weeks, the image saw viral spread online as it was reposted on Reddit and Instagram. For example, on September 29th, 2024, Redditor FHFH913 reposted the image to the /r/okbuddyretard^[2] subreddit, where it received over 8,800 upvotes in two months.
