On August 1st, 2022, hustle culture Twitter^[1] account @SteverOnSpeed posted a tweet that claimed that by the age of 30, your friend group should talk about business, money and fitness rather than politics and pop culture. The tweet gained over 6,900 retweets, 15,700 quote tweets and 35,400 likes in four days (shown below).

Starting on the same day, users on Twitter^[2] posted memes parodying the tweet, utilizing the "by age 30 you should have a group of friends who X" phrasal template to describe their ideal group of friends. On August 1st, Twitter user @ellesep posted the earliest viral parody tweet that referenced Stephen King's It and received over 1,300 retweets and 8,000 likes in one week (shown below).

For example, on August 2nd, Twitter^[3] user @rob_sheridan made a tweet that received over 7,500 retweets and 30,200 likes in three days (shown below, left). Also on August 2nd, Twitter^[4] user @caelume tweeted a parody that referenced standard team composition in multiplayer games that received over 26,900 retweets and 143,000 likes in a similar timeframe (shown below, right).
