Bum Biddy Biddy Biddy Bum Bum refers to a scene from the 2002 animated movie Eight Crazy Nights in which the attendees of a town banquet begin dancing while singing a song titled "Bum Biddy" that largely repeats the lyrics, "Bum biddy biddy biddy bum bum." The scene became the subject of memes throughout the 2020s, including animations in which popular characters do the dance scene in the film. In October 2024, the song became the subject of memes on TikTok.
Origin
Eight Crazy Nights, a musical comedy Hanukkah movie written by and starring Adam Sandler, was released on November 27th, 2002. The film contains a song titled "Bum Biddy" that appears in a scene that takes place at the All-Star Banquet. During the scene, the characters get up and start dancing and singing the song, with everyone at the banquet eventually joining in.
The scene was first uploaded to YouTube[1] as early as April 2nd, 2007, by user Citric Acid, garnering over 170,000 views in 17 years. Higher quality versions of the scene were uploaded in later years, including a November 29th, 2016, version of the scene by the YouTube[2] channel Movieclips that gained over 3 million views in eight years.
The earliest known meme to reference the scene was posted by YouTuber[3] Sprinkle Sprinkle Candy Bar on August 18th, 2019, and consists of an animation of Squidward Tentacles doing the dance, garnering over 1,500 views in five years.

On June 27th, 2023, YouTuber[4] Mario209 posted an animation in which Peppino from Pizza Tower does the dance, garnering over 63,000 views in a year. On October 14th, YouTuber[5] Junk Drawer Memes posted an edit in which the video becomes increasingly layered as it goes, garnering over 250,000 views in a similar span of time.
On December 28th, X[6] user @MarimosGoldfish posted a Smiling Friends animation in which Charlie does the dance, garnering over 6,100 likes in 11 months.

On October 2nd, 2024, TikToker[7] @natural_selections posted a video using an original sound consisting of the song "Bum Biddy" in which he makes a joke about crocodiles celebrating a zebra entering the river, garnering over 2.1 million views in a month. The original sound went viral, inspiring over 5,000 uses in a month.
On October 31st, X[8] user @cosm0cube posted the "Bum Biddy" scene, writing, "Fake people on November 1st: All I want for Christmas is y- The real ones:" garnering over 50,000 likes and 8,300 reposts in a week.

On November 1st, 2024, TikToker[9] @dream.lover_ posted a video using the song alongside a caption about cleaning the litter box, only for the cat to immediately walk over and dedicate in the box again, garnering over 3.9 million views in five days.
