About
Bro Is Not Going Back Home refers to a viral video of people guessing the Ukrainian flag in which one male contestant says, "Ukraine," faster than a girl who's from the country. The girl then says, "I'm Ukrainian," afterward, making the guy joke, "Bro is not going back home." The guy is wearing black sunglasses and a grey sweatshirt in the video. It was first posted on TikTok, YouTube and Instagram as a Reel by video creator BradyYourTutor in early 2025. In the following months, it was reposted across social media and became an exploitable meme via re-edits and '99.99% Accuracy' Meme Reenactments. The overall perception was that the video was cringe because the guy was speaking like a TikTok comment section.
Origin
Sometime on or before January 28th, 2025, content creator BradyYourTutor (@bradyyourtutor) shared a video to TikTok with four college students who were answering "pop quiz" style questions. However, a different video featuring the same group of students was shared on his TikTok[1] on January 28th and on his Instagram[2] on February 2nd.
The original video was screenrecorded and reposted by TikToker[4] @king_gink15 on January 28th, including an edit after the kid says, "Bro is not going back home," to the Ukrainian girl. @king_gink15's video was a screen recording of an unknown Instagram Reel created by a currently unknown Instagram user (shown below).
