The reaction comes from Episode 10 of Real Bros of Simi Valley, which aired on Facebook on February 1st, 2019 (shown below, scene at 10:55).^[1]

Spread

The moment began being used as a reaction image several days later. On February 5th, Twitter user @waddupitscarl^[2] posted the image with the caption "when your boss asks why you need to leave early," gaining over 170 retweets and 520 likes (shown below).

Twitter user @WhiteBoyBubz copied the tweet two days later, using the video from the scene, gaining over 7,900 retweets and 20,000 likes (shown below).

The same day, the image was posted in a joke to /r/historymemes,^[2] where it gained over 1,500 points (shown below, left). Another was posted to /r/okcupid^[2] where it gained over 480 points (shown below, right).
