Brian Griffin "I Love Chocolate" refers to a scene in the animated TV show Family Guy in which the dog character, Brian Griffin, is shown as overweight and eating chocolate out of a heart-shaped box. He says to Peter Griffin, sitting next to him, "I love chocolate. But I can't eat it because then I'll get fat." The scene was used in memes en masse in mid-2025 on TikTok, where it became the subject of several brainrot and lobotomy edits.

Origin

On November 29th, 2001, season 3, episode 13 of Family Guy titled "Screwed the Pooch" aired on American television.^[1] In one cutaway gag, an overweight Brian Griffin is shown eating chocolate out of a heart-shaped box and saying, "I love chocolate. But I can't eat it because then I'll get fat" (shown below).

The clip was posted to TikTok^[2] by the @foxfamilyguy account on July 7th, 2023, gaining over 340,600 likes in two years (shown below).

The first known video to use the scene memetically was shared by TikToker^[3] @ad8n_ on June 16th, 2025, who added a pink filter to the video and changed the pitch of Brian's voice. In a month, the video gained over 8,500 likes (shown below).

On June 22nd, 2025, TikToker^[4] @treynis1 posted a similar edit, in which they made Brian's voice a higher pitch. Over one month, the video gained over 111,600 likes (shown below).

On July 3rd, TikToker^[5] @buriedbydust posted a video, using the I Love Chocolate Audio, showing a Brian Griffin plushie toy and a Red Circle Perpetrators format, gaining over 59,100 likes in three weeks (shown below).

On July 19th, 2025, TikToker^[6] @goobiso posted a data-moshed video that combined the I Love Chocolate scene with the Peter, What Are You Doing? scene, gaining over 32,500 likes in four days (shown below).
