Boyfriend Bingo or COD Bingo is a TikTok trend and game in which a person's significant other watches their boyfriend watch a sport or play a competitive online video game, like Call of Duty, while scoring a custom bingo card filled with things the boyfriend might say while playing the game. The trend began in December 2023 and was started by TikToker @makwaters. It became increasingly popular throughout the year.
Origin
On December 30th, 2023, TikToker[1] @makwaters posted a video in which she observes her boyfriend while he watches football. As the game goes on, she fills out a bingo card corresponding to the exclamations and comments he makes about the game. The video gained over 26.6 million views in 11 months.
Spread
The trend continued to spread over the course of 2024, becoming largely focused on what boyfriends say while gaming. For example, on January 29th, 2024, TikToker[2] @noeliab26 posted a video playing Call of Duty bingo that gained over 420,000 views in 11 months.
The trend became notably popular in November 2024. On November 3rd, TikToker[3] @daniellaa.bby posted a video playing COD bingo that gained over 23.8 million views in two weeks. On November 14th, Dexerto[4] reported on the trend.
