About
Bottle Night refers to a couples activity involving a bottle of wine for each partner and no TV, no phones, just talking. Bottle Night was coined in a viral tweet from Twitter / X user Collin Rutherford (@collin_ruth89) in March 2024, who posted a picture of him and his girlfriend holding bottles of wine during their "Bottle Night" in Buffalo, New York. The tweet was humorously ridiculed online after its virality, mostly because Rutherford portrayed hanging out with his girlfriend as a new, radical invention.

That's it, we simply talk and enjoy each other's presence." Over two days, the tweet received roughly 29.6 million views and 5,200 likes (shown below).
Do you know what a "bottle night" is?
Probably not, because my gf and I invented it during a 2023 blizzard in Buffalo, NY.
We lock our phones away, turn the TV off…
Each grab a bottle of wine, and talk.
That's it, we simply talk and enjoy each other's presence.
We live together, but it's easy to miss out on "quality time".
What do you think?
Do you have other methods for enjoying quality time with your partner?
Later on March 4th, 2024, @collin_ruth89 posted a reply on X[8] to his "Bottle Night" tweet, that promoted his business, starting with the sentence, "On the other 30 nights of the month, I grind to build my business." The reply gained over 898,100 views and 160 likes in two days (shown below).
