Both Splitted Due Different Views refers to a two-panel relationship dynamic cartoon depicting the We Used to Be Friends media trope in which two characters grow apart. The cartoon, which uses grammatically incorrect captions, was posted in November 2024 by the same artist behind the Gets Brainwashed of That Thing cartoon, and regained virality in March 2025 after the first comic went viral. The cartoon has been brought up in Blobslop discussions and memes online.

Origin

On November 21st, 2024, artist @MessRedds posted a two-panel cartoon based it on the popular trope of friends or lovers growing apart, using grammatically incorrect captions. The post (shown below) garnered over 9,000 reposts and 80,000 likes on X[1] in four months.



In early March 2025, the Gets Brainwashed of That Thing cartoon about the corruption trope in media posted on X[2] by artist @MessRedds in November 2024 went viral on social media (shown below) as it was humorously captioned, edited, and referenced.



On March 6th, 2025, following the viral popularity of Gets Brainwashed of That Thing memes, X[3] user @legotrillermoth reposted the Both Splitted Due Different Views cartoon The post received over 2,000 reposts and 5,200 likes in one day.

In the following day, the cartoon saw use as a caption format, being with the trope being humorously applied to various couples and pairs of characters. For example, on March 7th, 2025, X[4] user @kawaiikurwa captioned the image, "ugandan knuckles and big chungus", with the post (shown below) gaining over 1,100 reposts and 11,000 likes in one day.



On March 6th, 2025, X[5] user @jorfolle quoted the image, commenting, "who makes these". The post (shown below) received over 1,900 reposts and 92,000 likes in one day.
