The song features simple lyrics about being bored in the house and includes beats made by beating a table and snapping his fingers. Thousands of TikTokers began using the song in their own videos about self-quarantining.

Origin

On March 4th, TikToker @curtisroach performed his original song about being in the house bored (shown below). The video gained over 821,000 likes in 19 days.

Spread

On March 21st, 2020, American rapper Tyga uploaded a TikTok video using the song and received over 3.5 million likes in two days (shown below, left). The next day TikTokers Charli D'Amelio and @beasteater uploaded videos using the sound (shown below, right). Their videos garnered over 4.3 million likes and 1.7 million likes respectively in a day. The Daily Dot^[1] published an article on the song. Over 315,900 videos on TikTok^[2] have been made using the song in 19 days.
