About

"Body Parts Can't Have Sounds" / Ass: is a caption meme format and catchphrase used together with music videos to insult that music by implying it "sounds like ass." The caption format gained virality in November 2024 among fans of popular pop artists such as Charlie XCX, Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift and Gracie Abrams as they used it to feud with each other on social media.

Origin

On November 12th, 2024, X[1] user @salvatorestf posted captioned a music video of Taylor Swift's song "Fortnite" featuring Post Malone, captioning it, ""body parts can’t have sounds" / ass:". The post, which humorously implied that the song sounded very bad ("like ass"), gained over 950 reposts and 12,000 likes, with the original uploader of the video setting their profile to private.
