About
Boarposting, also known as Bobbyposting, refers to posts on 4chan's /tv/ board about the character Robert Baratheon, nicknamed "Bobby B," from George R.R. Martin's book series A Song of Ice and Fire as he appears in HBO's adaptation, Game of Thrones. Many of the posts contain image macros featuring Baratheon with glowing eyes in the style of "I Am Growing Stronger" and motion blur effects. The posts frequently use the words "whore" and "boar" as they relate to Baratheon's character, specifically his liberal use of the word "whore" and the fact that he was mortally wounded by a boar while hunting. The use of the meme on 4chan's /tv/ board as well as the "-posting" suffix alikens it to related memes such as Baneposting and Sheevposting.
