About

Blue Eyes Slander refers to a series of jokes and memes about the perceived tendency of people with blue eyes (particularly light-blue) to have unnerving gazes, with many jokes about blue eyes revolving around the stereotype that people with them need to make sure their eyes are noticed. One of the earliest viral memes about blue eyes featured a picture of Miley Cyrus in which she can be seen shooting a piercing gaze into the camera. Another prominent meme about blue eyes is an MS Paint drawing of a cartoon with blue eyes. In 2023, several meme trends about blue eyes went viral, including the catchphrase "I'm literally shaking, buy her brown contacts PLEASE," which was posted in reply to a video featuring a long-haired dachshund with uncommonly blue eyes. Additionally, another common catchphrase associated with blue eyes is "Okay girl we see them damn."
