Blacked Out Like a Phantom is a selection of lyrics from the rap song "Phantom" by EsDeeKid and Rico Ace. The song was released in March 2025 and was popularized on apps like TikTok and Instagram Reels over the following months as a prevalent backing track for videos and memes. As the song increased in virality, it became associated with versions of the Bust Down Keanu meme, in which celebrities and meme characters, including Jeffrey Epstein and Tung Tung Tung Sahur, are shown flexing grills and an expensive watch. Later in 2025, the song became the subject of memes and videos making fun of EsDeeKid fans for being corny.
Origin
On March 6th, 2025, EsDeeKid released the song "Phantom" featuring Rico Ace. The song was released alongside a music video on YouTube,[1] garnering over 8.3 million views in nine months.

"Phantom" became notably popularized on TikTok throughout 2025 as EsDeeKid and his music became increasingly popular.
On November 11th, 2025, TikToker[2] @ggigyblud posted a Reddit-themed animation based on the song, garnering over 609,000 views in a month.
On December 4th, X[3] user @eviljanvi posted an edited image of Tung Tung Tung Sahur with a chain, captioned, "blacked out like a lv sandal 😤😤" garnering over 6,700 likes in about two weeks.
On the same day, TikToker[4] @injjwetrust posted a lyric video to "Phantom" set to the image, garnering over 350,000 views in the same span of time.
On December 5th, 2025, TikToker[5] @talkden69 posted a video where he criticizes EsDeeKid fans for being corny, sharing examples of videos of EsDeeKid fans, many of which are set to "Phantom," garnering over 107,000 views in 10 days.
On December 6th, TikToker[6] @mango4me posted a comedy skit about a student and teacher, where the student says, "Okay," and the teacher takes it as an EsDeeKid reference, proceeding to rap the lyrics, "Okay, blacked out like a phantom," garnering over 900,000 views in 10 days.
On December 9th, 2025, TikToker[7] @luv.yves8 posted a skit following a similar format, in which someone says "Okay" and they proceed to rap the lyrics of "Phantom," garnering over 1.9 million views in a week.
