The birds were reportedly a pair of young orphaned flamingos filmed on the west coast of the Caribbean island of Bonaire. The video was originally captured by the Instagram page @elora.explora, who explained their rescue and rehabilitation efforts for the birds in a May 25th, 2025, post. The video of the birds gained millions of views after it was reposted across Instagram and X in late May and early June, with one notable video captioned, "Ur not a vibe bro."

On May 25th, 2025, the Instagram[1] page @elora.explora posted a video showing their efforts to rescue a pair of orphaned baby flamingos. The birds were gray with their baby down feathers still attached, and were shown to be easily knocked over by the tide on the beach. The video gathered over 500,000 plays and 50,000 likes in a week.



On May 30th, several internet users reposted the video, including Instagram[2] page @goobabs, which gathered over 1 million plays and 100,000 likes in three days.



The Twitter / X[3] account @putita_gafuda also reposted the video on May 30th, 2025, gathering over 28 million views and 360,000 likes in three days. Redditor /u/TangentYoshi then reposted the video to the subreddit /u/wunkus,[4] gathering over 3,000 upvotes in three days.

On May 30th, 2025, Twitter / X[5] user @eat5G posted the video of a pair of birds walking along the shoreline on a beach before getting knocked over by the incoming tide. The video was captioned, "Ur not a vibe bro," gathering over 81,000 likes in three days.



That same day, X[6] user @Nicosaesthetic tweeted, "Y’all ran kaytranada off this app, bc of his pink hole addiction… and someone said “Rest In Preference”. I can’t take this rn." The tweet was posted alongside a video of a pair of birds walking along a shoreline before getting wiped out by a wave. The post gathered over 54,000 likes in three days.



Also on May 30th, 2025, X[7] user @fortinary tweeted the video of a pair of baby flamingoes getting knocked out by a wave on a beach alongside a caption that translates to, "I called an Uber and a Kwid came." The post gathered over 22,000 likes in three days.



On May 31st, X[8] user @itotamotsu posted a tweet that translates to, "This reminds me of a new emotion, something like 'beautiful and interesting'." The post gathered over 100,000 likes in two days.
