Billie Eilish in an Oversized Blue Shirt refers to an image macro series of American recording artist Billie Eilish wearing a large, blue button-down shirt. Online, people joked about the outfit, comparing it to Soulja Boy and Big Smoke.

Origin

On November 12th, 2018, Billie Eilish posted a photograph on Instagram ^[1] of herself in the outfit standing with fellow recording artists Tierra Whack and SZA. She captioned the post, "man why tf are tierra whack and sza hanging out with soulja boy?" The post received more than 2 million likes in less than one year (shown below).

That day, Eilish also posted the image to her Facebook ^[2] page, where it received more than 25,000 reactions, 1,000 comments and 3,700 shares in less than on year.

Fans responded to the image by mocking it. For example, Facebook user Clara Maia photoshopped the image so that the shirt appeared even bigger (shown below, left).^[3]

The following month, on December 8th, Twitter ^[4] juxtaposed the Eilish photograph next to an image of Soulja Boy (shown below, center). They captioned the post, "Soulja Boy walked so Billie Eilish could run."

On April 21st, 2019, Twitter^[5] user @roman_nfkrz tweeted the image within the Nobody meme format. The post received more than 9,300 retweets and 63,000 likes in less than one month (shown below, right).
