Big McThankies From McSpankies is a memorable quote uttered by the fast food worker Skeet in the television show The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron. Online, the scene has spawned remix videos and an exploitable image macro series.
Origin
On October 25th, 2016, YouTuber Saucy Postal uploaded an edited version of the Jimmy Neutron scene, which gathered upwards of 2.15 million views and 5,900 comments over the next year (shown below).
Spread
On August 30th, 2017, YouTuber BlueVizor uploaded a Star Wars lightsaber duel scene dubbed with the "big mcthankies" quote (shown below).
On September 21st, 2017, Redditor thotexterminator submitted a post titled "Mcspankies" to /r/dankmemes,[1] featuring a screen capture of Skeet captioned with a joke about dropping the soap in prison (shown below, left). Within 24 hours, the post gained over 19,600 points (84% upvoted) and 160 comments. The following day, Redditor KnurftChannel uploaded an image macro captioned with a joke about an abusive drunk father to /r/dankmemes[2] (shown below, right). Also on September 22nd, Redditor dadofgage submitted a post about the meme to /r/MemeEconomy.[3]
