In memes, the character is often shown to be in a relationship with Cappuccino Assassino.

Origin

On March 19th, 2025, during the popularity of the Italian Brainrot trend started by the Tralalero Tralala meme, TikTok^[1] user @aironic.fun posted an AI-generated video of a ballerina with a large cup of cappuccino for a head, set to an AI-generated narration in Italian introducing her as "Ballerina Cappuccina." The video (shown below) garnered over 19.5 million views and 2.2 million likes in three weeks.

Spread

In the following weeks, multiple users posted AI-generated videos using the soundbite. For example, on March 23rd, 2025, TikTok^[2] user @surrealfusion10 posted a video that garnered over 12.5 million views and 1.4 million likes in three weeks (shown below).

Other users posted images and videos of themselves pretending to do ballet, as well as images of their pets and other animals stretching, akin to a ballet dancer, pairing them with the audio.

For example, on April 3rd, 2025, TikTok^[3] user @aplakhonina posted a video of a cat with its legs stretched out set to the audio. The upload (shown below) received over 18.4 million views and 4.1 million likes in five days.

Outside of TikTok, the audio also spread on Instagram Reels and on YouTube.
