About
Bad The Walking Dead Edits refers to a trend present on TikTok in which video creators shitpost poorly made fan edits of The Walking Dead using odd filters from CapCut that distort the characters and scenes. Many of the edits make the characters look girly, bulge their eyes or add floating DVD logos, among other nonsensical effects. The edits primarily focus on the characters Rick Grimes, Shane Walsh and Negan Smith. A common scene and phrase re-edited in the edits is They're In The Woods which was said by the character Shane Walsh. Many of the video creators joked about selling the edits on freelancer platforms like Fiverr. The trend started in mid-2022 and continued into 2023, coinciding with the show's finale. Inherently, the trend is reminiscent of YouTube poop content.
