Back at It Again at Krispy Kreme refers to a viral video of a man doing back handsprings and backflips and hitting a sign at a Krispy Kreme restaurant. Starting in June 2019, the video has been used in humorous edits on Instagram.

Origin

On January 13th, 2014, Vine account Fab Cheerleader posted a video "He hit the sign😂" of a man saying "Back at It Again at Krispy Kreme" and proceeding to do back handsprings until hitting the restaurant sign mid-backflip (reupload shown below).[1][2]

Spread

On April 15th, 2014, YouTube user ThatKles reuploaded the Vine, with the video gaining over 3.3 million views in five years. In the following years, the vine was featured in multiple Vine compilations posted on YouTube.

On January 15th, 2016, a story exploring the origins of the Vine was featured in New York Magazine.[3]

On May 9th, 2019, iFunny user LithiumCactus used the video in an iFunny Poop edit.[8] On June 5th, 2019, iFunny user Pooman posted an edit of the video (shown below),[9] with the post gaining over 500 smiles.

In early June 2019, multiple edits based on the Vine were posted by users on iFunny.

On June 10th, 2019, Instagram user yupanthony posted a popular edit to the platform.[4] The video gained over 188,000 views and 28,500 likes in five days.

In the following days, the Vine gained significant popularity in edits on Instagram, with notable versions posted by users retry.mp4,[5] largetrap[6] and cut_mp4.[7]
