Origin
On January 13th, 2020, Twitter user @Robin46_2 posted two tweets with the hashtag,[1][2] though neither tweet gained significant spread (shown below).
Spread
The hashtag began spreading the following day after several tweets began growing popular. One of the first was posted by @iamdanlevey[3] who posted, "Is it possibly be too cute? #BabyYodaProblems," gaining over 60 retweets and 390 likes (shown below, left). User @rawbeancool[4] posted an example that gained over 760 retweets and 4,500 likes (shown below, right).
The hashtag saw coverage that day from Buzzfeed[5] and Mashable.[6] Other popular examples include tweets by @Spideycmc[7] and @startrekkinjedi,[8] which gained over 2,700 and 1,100 likes, respectively.
