On September 11th, 2024, Australian Senator Fatima Payman addressed^[1] the "sigmas of Australia" during a two-minute speech at the Parliament House in which she said the government is filled with "cap-aholics" and "yap-aholics." The Guardian posted the Senator's full statement (seen below), amassing more than 24,000 views and 630 likes in a day.

According to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation,^[2] Payman's speech was written by her 21-year-old policy advisor, Ezra Isma, who said that he "wouldn't necessarily use such language earnestly outside the chamber."
