On October 26th, 2012, YouTubers^[1] Smosh posted a music video titled "Assassin's Creed 3 Song" for an original song about Assassin's Creed 3, garnering over 100 million views in 11 years (shown below).

On September 3rd, 2020, TikToker^[5] @kayvondel posted a video where he says about the "Assassin's Creed 3 Song" that it caused the downfall of YouTube, because it was impossible to make a better video, garnering over 1.1 million views in three years (shown below).

Following the announcement that Anthony Padilla would rejoin the Smosh YouTube channel after he and Ian Hecox bought the channel back on June 20th, 2023, the song saw an increase in use on TikTok.

For example, on June 20th, 2023, TikToker^[2] @theblazingforest posted a video using it that gained over 210,000 views in 10 days. On June 25th, TikToker^[3] @nerdystuffilike posted a slideshow meme referencing the song, garnering over 750,000 views in five days (shown below).

On June 27th, Anthony Padilla posted a screenshot of the video to Twitter^[4] in celebration of the video reaching 100 million views, writing, "100,000,000 👏" garnering over 46,900 likes in three days (shown below).
